Nowadays, technology like a smartphone becomes to be the essential things that people must have. Not only in the UK but also in Thailand, people usually spend their routines and free-times on smartphones inevitably. They communicate with a smartphone more than a face-to-face, even they live in a close area. On the other hand, some artists try to create their works to mimic this situation. 

One of my Thai friend, she did a short 2d animation on her project with the topic “Controller”. It represented a daily life scene in the future when people will be controlled by a smartphone. She imitated a situation that if people unable to use their smartphone and tried to present her concept via the Media. She left a message to remind people that “Don’t let a smartphone control you. You are in control of it.”

While I was watching her animation, I discussed with my tutor about this topic. He said this problem will be a usual behavior in the future because everything can change. People’s habit can follow by a new technology that we created. Personally, I think everything has two aspects of thinking. It can provide more efficient convenience if people use it as necessary.

Maker

Nowadays, our world is moving forward rapidly with a dynamic innovation during the movement of maker who have the imagination and passion fulling in their brains and hearts. At the same time, the majority people usually lose their brave and attempt to experiment the new things because they think that a new innovation need many supporting equipments and funding for an investment. On the other hand, the successful makers don't think like that they use their valuable creativity to combine with the personal skills to learn and test with step-by-step to achieve their goals even it is just a little idea. For the example, many local craftsmen become to be the famous fashion house owners or some inventors are successful because of their dreaming when they were children. So, no matter who you are, everybody has an equal opportunity to create and continue your dreams, although it will take a long term for doing and reaching of the goal. Cheer up everyone!!

We are the creative

Doctors, Polices, Managers, Teachers, Actors, Farmers, Pilots, Engineers and everybody are defining the creative because the creativity is the sense of to be human.

Chase Jarvis is an American professional, photographer, director, artist and entrepreneur. He tries to change the system of personal thinking for the people who never think of themselves are the most creative. Most people usually understand a creativity which is used for arts and designs, but actually it  is just a subset of creativity. Moreover, they don't know about the pure creativity that it has more power to solve all problems and it doesn't discover in the school system because the schools squash the creativity of students as farms and factories. For the example, the scientists try to explore the idea how to put people to outside of the world and the result of this experiment is the innovation of rockets. Finally, he also said that the creativity creates new creativity and fosters each other to be a vital key of every solution in the world.

Project 3/1 #ucapesad #WeCreate

Today I finished my first project in the pre-sessional course that I co-operated with one Thai friend and four Taiwan friends. We started to choose the topic from our close problem with the racism because we all are Asian girls which used to get some bad experiences in our life when we visited some part of the Western countries. Moreover, we found the metaphor pictures which were created for sarcastic the Eastern countries with the graphic symbols.

So, we wanted to find the exit or create the message to communicate with many peoples that we are just "one". Even though, there are many different things which create the barriers between us such as cultures, colour skins, histories or languages. After that we start to research the data and discussing to find for the best solutions for a while. At the same time, I listened some sentences from my friend in another course that it can help us so much like the important key to finish our project. He told me that we don't necessarily  think everything for the people around the world, but we should leave some space for them to imagine the future. Then, we created a project methodology and concept to communicate with the people in our living areas by giving them with a blank space on post-its and asking them what do you think about some countries.

Finally, we got the various opinions of each country and we created the video media to communicate with people around us about the personal thinking in some countries. While we presented this video in the public areas, we noticed many people interested in the comments about their countries and trying to read it. I think this dialog between, the writers and the audiences is a great movement in communication. 

Try to understand each other

Now, me and my friends are doing the project for our 5 weeks pre-sessional course at UCA on the racism topic. We came from different countries and we definitely have different culture, language and personal thinking. I think our concept “Try to understand each other” in this project not only using with our target groups in the proposal, but also being the vital key of our project successful. Our working system has had less problems and continued smooth since the project starting while each step of project were gathered for asking the opinion of every members. So, it can decrease many conflicts of the different personal opinions and we still enjoy to continue our project until the end.

At the same time, I think this concept can be adapted to use with many situations in your daily life and expanding to be your friend, your community and your country. It likes something which encourage you think more positively what people around you are thinking and opening your mind to understand them more by listening, sharing and to be humble. Consequently, the barriers between each other will be destroyed and a community will be built up instead via combined the valued knowledge, experience and personal skills.

The Chinese artist try to reveal the truth

I come from Thailand where are developing country as China. I think our liberty and rights are confined by some cultures in our countries that they have believed for a long time and it’s hard to express our ideas in the public areas. The situation of the earthquake in the Chinese province of Sichuan, it reminds me to think of the corruption problems in my country. Frequently, more hundred students in a rural area have to deliver to the hospital by drinking the poor quality of milk and getting the food poisoning which related to the government corruptions. So I love the ways of the artist (AI Weiwei) try to explain how he was feeling and unveiled the social truths through installation art, name: Remembering, in Munich, Germany. It represented a life lost by using the colour and number to communicate and call for the justice. It’s an excellent symbol when the law doesn’t work and it’s installed by the wrong culture “The culture of corruption in the government system”. Consequently, the social will not be the perfect Democracy if we can’t share our opinion in the public. Sadly, the child's life is too short for finding out the happiness in the world.
